trendy balmoral

Did some christmas shopping tonight. Got whiskey, beer, chocolates and movie tickets. The front of the box of chocolates looks so much like a bjork album. Seriously. That's the only reason I got em.

Had to go to Balmoral to get the movie tickets. I had never really been there before. It is surprisingly close to the city, but it just feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. The weird thing is that, out of nowhere, there is this road with tons of trendy cafes, coffee shops, bars. Every place there was just packed.

But the most crazy thing is this real estate agent I passed. It's called 'place' and is just so fucking artsy and minimilist inside. Stupid red furniture; too much floor space and flat screen monitors showing ads for houses. That just cracked me up. I can't help but laugh at modern/artsy places. Gah! What's my problem? I'd rather everything be messy and old. Not clean and new. I'd rather look at pictures of houses on paper, not flat-screen monitors. Fuck, I hate how technology is used sometimes. That store looks too arty. During office hours I can just imagine them playing Philip Glass's Einstein on the Beach inside, or perhaps 4''33'. But I doubt anyone would notice that one.

Anyway I got that out of the way at last. Now I just have to buy Kristy something. A book perhaps? We'll see.

it's not that i hate minimilism. it just made me laugh when i saw that a fucking real estate agent was using it. i'm too used to seeing very un-trendy real estate agents. and walking into a place with so much fucking floorspace just looked so intimidating. fuck whatever, this is all bullshit. that's why i called it 100% bullshit.
